OUR STORY
Maíz y Fuego was founded by brothers Heriberto and Luis Gutierrez, who share a passion for authentic flavors and bringing people together through food. Drawing from their Mexican heritage and years of experience working in restaurant kitchens, the brothers created a space where traditional recipes and bold flavors come to life.
Chef Luis began his culinary journey in Denver kitchens at a young age, working his way from dishwasher to chef and eventually opening his own restaurant. Together, the Gutierrez brothers built Maíz y Fuego as a place where guests can enjoy vibrant Mexican dishes made with fresh ingredients and a deep love for hospitality.
